About Me
Pia
I'm not the greatest vegan cook...but I try. The wide world of vegan food consists of more than twigs, nuts and berries.

Stock Your Cupboard With:
Walnuts = supplies heart-healthy Omega-3 Fatty Acids.
Blueberries = compared to most fruits, blueberries score higher in antioxidants. Sprinkle over soy yogurt & granola for breakfast.
Nutritional Yeast = perfect for adding a "cheesy" flavor to dishes. Also gives you vitamin B12.
Fresh Garlic = really an essential base for most dishes, plus it helps prevent arteries from clogging.
Seitan = aka wheat gluten. Great mock meat, hearty texture, great for stews and protein.
Ener-G Egg Replacer = helps bind ingredients, great for baking cakes.
Soy Milk = good source of calcium. Silk is my favorite brand.
Beans & Rice = when eaten together, they form a "complete protein" by combining their amino acid building blocks.
